Danielle Scott, Art Fair 14C resident artist

Artist Danielle Scott stands next to her 36 inch diameter circular mixed media work entitled "They carry the truth in their backpacks." The artwork is made with paint and bullet casings and depicts her son and daughter with bullet-filled backpacks silhouetted against a map of the US.

Art Fair 14C's residency for an Artist with a Disability is allowing Danielle Scott to create a powerful series of work humanizing mugshots and changing the lens of how we view black men.
