Join Speranza for a reading of our NEW historical play about Mary T. Norton and Eleanor Roosevelt, written by Noelle Brower. This event will be hosted at The Apple Tree House – 298 Academy Street – on Friday September 13, 2024 @ 6pm.
The Democratic National Convention in Chicago will be an historic one, one that will change the course of American history. But this isn't 2024. It's 1932 and while the battle for who will be the Democratic nominee rages on, behind the scenes the first Democratic woman ever elected to Congress, Jersey City's own Mary Norton, and Eleanor Roosevelt argue about the future of our country, the Democratic party, and women's role in it.
Sponsored by The Hudson County Office of Cultural Affairs, The Jersey City Arts Trust Fund, The Jersey City Office of Cultural Affairs, and The Museum of Jersey City History.
